Buxton Palace Hotel Wedding DJ

Updated: Jun 13

If you’ve hired a beautiful venue with amazing decoration, do you want that all ruined by a disco setup that doesn't look great?

Nestled in the middle of the beautiful spa town of Buxton, with wonderful views of the Peak District National Park, the Palace Hotel is a romantic and picturesque venue. Five acres of landscaped gardens provide a stunning backdrop, making this location the most popular choice for weddings amongst Buxton hotels. The hotel has unique and striking functions rooms, featuring stained glass windows, elaborate décor and views over the impressive grounds.

Weddings in general I find easy and a lot of fun to do but The Palace sticks out in my mind for one wedding in particular.

The groom (an entertainer and song-writer) chose us to provide DJ/MC +Uplighting + a first dance cam + a party photographer. They had also booked three sets of singers but for some reason their equipment would not function corrctly as they prepared live in the grand ballroom, they had made the mistake of NOT doing a rehearsal and sound check as they were guests. Thankfully as I always carry lots of spare leads and a backup system, I was able to improvise and channel all entertainers through my own sound system as required - it was hard work for a short while but it everything turned out well and the guests didn't even notice.
